The ‘Ayurvedic Weight Loss Program’ is a natural way to get rid of excess fat deposits and related
health issues. By incorporating Ayurveda, Yoga, Functional fitness exercises and a tailor made weight loss diet,
we make sure that a guest gets the best result possible.
According to Ayurveda, the tendency to put on more weight easily or not gaining enough weight depends on imbalance in five elements of body and constitution of three doshas: Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Although poor dietary choices and inactivity are said to be the top reasons for obesity, physical workout and diets can do very little to help if the underlying cause in dosha imbalances are not managed at the same time.
Weight Management in Ayurveda deals more with the way our digestive system processes the food and impact of the liver in anabolic metabolism, which causes the accumulation of excessive Kapha and Ama (toxins from food and drinks). An imbalance in Kapha can result in weight gain or obesity, while a build-up of Ama is typical among those who are underweight.
Fomentation is a Purification treatment, which is by applying a measured amount of heat to remove the toxin from the body. It is done either by applying decoction(heating all stem and herbs) on the body or by applying indirect heat such as a warm cloth on the body to maintain a steady temperature to remove toxins.
The type of treatment practiced in Ayurveda involves special therapeutic deep tissue massage using herbal powders and rubbed in an upward stroke. The main use of this massage is that it helps to heal the body to burn away the excess fat, it helps in losing fat as well as plays a vital role in improving the immunity of the body.
It is a therapeutic fomentation in which fermented/ decoction liquids are poured over the body in streams. Since this is a Rookshakarma it will help in reducing excessive body fat.
In Ayurveda there is equal importance to food methods as to medicines, Ayurveda generally advises in consuming the right diet food required for the treatment as it even helps for the success rate for the treatment. Proper diet helps to prevent the body from all the doshas.
Movement of the human body is a must included session in Ayurveda, Ayurveda promotes and describes the need of Vyayama
as a part of Dinacharya (Daily Regimes) to maintain the equilibrium of Vata , Pitta & Kapha
